John Cena vs Bray Wyatt is set for WrestleMania 36 with a Firefly Fun House match
This week’s SmackDown had a lot taking place ahead of WrestleMania 36.
A triple-threat ladder match was finalised for the SmackDown tag titles while other challenges were set for the grandest stage of them all.
However, there was one major announcement during Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House segment. The former champion wasn’t on as The Fiend, but he could turn into that character at WrestleMania.
Wyatt also produced a menacing segment where he put Ramblin Rabbit into a blender and said he would face John Cena at WrestleMania 36.
Wyatt added that the match would be a Firefly Fun House match, but what does that really mean?
Wyatt’s new character is known for his theatricality, something he did during his previous personas too.
During his time as the Eater of Worlds, Wyatt had a huge clash with Randy Orton.
This took place at WWE Payback with a House of Horrors match against the Viper. The match wasn’t in the ring but in Wyatt’s backyard and allowed for a lot of madness between the two stars.
This was practically a No DQ match, and something similar could be expected from the Firefly Fun House match.
Hosting such a match in the Performance Center is next to impossible, so this could be one of those taped segments from another location.
Wyatt has gotten into the heads of all his rivals since he brought out The Fiend. Cena, for his part, seems to be the ideal WWE star who doesn’t have any hidden skeletons in the closet.
That is something that Wyatt could try to exploit, and the setting could look like the Firefly Fun House for sure.
The bright setting would provide a different tone to normal matches that don’t take place in the ring.
There won’t be a dark setting but rather a chirpy blue background. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be some terrible weapons to use.
Wyatt has shown his dark side on several of the fun Firefly Fun House segments, and The Fiend should make his presence felt too.
A No DQ match also allows for a lot of leeway into how the match goes, so interference from others could take place.
Further, not keeping this in the Performance Center allows for more leeway regarding camera cuts etc.
There is a restriction to the number of people that can be gathered in a location due to the coronavirus. Even if the match isn’t in the Performance Center, WWE has to be careful with the health and safety of their stars.
Now, fans’ opinions are usually divided regarding such matches. However, this could sill work with two of the best workers in the history of WWE.

WrestleMania 36 will take place without any audience members, and taking this match away from a normal wrestling ring makes even more sense now.
WWE creative still has a lot of work to do regarding this clash, and hopefully, they hit the ball out of the park.
