Dillon Danis is an MMA star signed for Bellator and was involved in a street fight
Dillon Danis is contracted to Bellator and most would know him as Conor McGregor’s friend and training partner.
However, the American has been involved in some wild altercations too. While Danis hasn’t fought since 2019, he is still keen on continuing his combat career.
Danis also is known to speak a lot on social media and get into fights there. However, things took a crazy turn in 2022 when he was involved in a street fight after an altercation.
This took place outside of a hotel conference room in Austin, Texas. KSI, who is an immensely popular YouTuber and celebrity boxer, was with a few other fighters and celebrities.
Danis then came up from the crowd and started to have a go at KSI. There were some words exchanged between the pair and Danis escalated it all by taking off KSI’s cap and then even throwing a drink at him.
KSI tried to catch hold of Danis but the Bellator star ran from the location. But, that wasn’t the end for Danis. Former Bellator star Anthony Taylor decided to take some hits on Danis and even landed a huge hit on his eye.
A lot of chaos ensued after this scrap with more people involved from both camps.
Anthony Taylor opens up on beating Dillons Danis
Taylor later spoke with MMA Fighting and explained his decision to beat up Danis:
“Dillon Danis, just coming in, he was just being a bully.
“He’s picking on reporters, over acting tough with his MMA buddies, or whoever the hell he’s with. But he was just acting tough, acting he like he can’t even be touched because, ‘I’m this jiu-jitsu world champion, nobody’s going to fight me.’
Taylor added that Danis was trying to bully someone at a YouTube boxing event, especially those who didn’t have a proper background in combat sports.
He even brought up Jon Jones as an example and added that the UFC great doesn’t “bully” YouTubers.
Taylor added that he decided to take matters into his own hands after years of watching Danis bad mouth others. The former Bellator star brought up how Danis had commented on Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jake Paul and Logan Paul, and even called the 2-0 Bellator star for a fight.
Danis has not fought for almost four years, but it seems that a clash with Logan Paul could take place soon. It is to be seen when this is held but in all probability, it will be a boxing match.
