What does Ric Flair Drip mean as the Nature Boy stars in a music video with popular hip-hop stars 21 Savage and Offset?
Ric Flair starred in a hip-hop video with some of the most famous rappers a few years back. He featured on a track which was named after him.
The song, called ‘Ric Flair Drip’, featured producer Metro Boomin, rapper Offset, as well as 21 Savage, whose album the song featured on. The album, Without Warning, released on October 31 in 2017.
The phrase ‘Ric Flair Drip’ refers to the way of dressing up and wearing jewellery in line with the style of the Nature Boy. It refers to wearing clothes with bright, vivid colours.
And, of course, it means expensive, gold-plated watches as well as chains. “Drip” is a popular slang in hip-hop and refers to a person’s style, attire, as well as the jewellery he has on him.
Adding Ric Flair’s name to it is just an ode to the Nature Boy’s legacy in the pop culture during, and even after, his time inside the WWE ring. The rappers that feature in the song are some of the most famous names in the music industry worldwide.
To have a song by the, dedicated just to yourself, you’d have to be a pretty huge figure. And this isn’t even Ric Flair’s only major impression in pop culture. He also has an adidas sneaker named after him.
The Damian Lillard x Ric Flair “Dame 7” kicks dropped a few months back and have been one of the most popular basketball kicks by the German brand.
Of course, the song ‘Ric Flair Drip’ got so famous that 21 Savage had to make a video for it as well. The official video of the song dropped a few months later after the release of his album, on March 1, 2021.
