He then thrashed Gargano even more, laying him out on the entrance ramp. That night’s NXT finally provided a few answers as to why he decided to take Gargano out.
In the ring, he said, “Funny how things work out isn’t it? Two months ago I’m laying down and watching what is supposed to be the hottest thing in the business and now I’m the hottest thing in the business.”

The Irishman didn’t lose the title but had to vacate the belt due to an injury.
Balor explains heel turn
The Irishman made the jump to NXT in 2014 and defeated Kevin Owens on the 4th of July in 2015.
He made a name for himself and got a cult following thanks to his entrance and fighting style.
However, he recently to Sports Illustrated about his unexpected heel turn.
“Everybody talks about ‘Finn going back to NXT’ when in reality I’ve gone back to who I was. I’d been caught up in the bubble of WWE and what they wanted me to be and how they expected me to perform as a character, and I took some time off to re-evaluate who I am and where I came from.”
“I re-evaluated what I want to do and what I want to achieve, and I decided the best thing for me is to be true to who I am. I don’t fit the mold to play corporate ball and please everyone. I need to please myself, so I’m going to shake the trees and see what falls out.”
Balor is one of the best wrestlers in the WWE, and it will be interesting to see how things go with him in the coming months.
NXT is an excellent brand and features some of the best wrestling in the WWE.
The Irishman could reinvigorate his career by turning heel, and NXT will be worth watching more now.
