Brock Lesnar made a shock return at SummerSlam 2021 but what happened when the show went off the air?

WWE SummerSlam 2021 ended on a huge note with Brock Lesnar confirming his return to the promotion after close to two years.

Lesnar was last seen losing to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. While there were doubts about his contract and his future, he put all of that to bed at SummerSlam.

Lesnar came out after Roman Reigns defended his WWE Universal title against John Cena. Reigns vs Cena was quite a battle with the stipulation that Reigns would leave WWE if he were to lose.

However, the Big Dog was able to control and beat Cena in impressive fashion. Reigns didn’t have a lot of time to celebrate though as Lesnar made his shock return to WWE.

Lesnar looked in great shape and the show ended with Reigns and Lesnar having a face off, and the champion leaving the ring.

However, there was more to come at the end of SummerSlam for the fans.

Brock Lesnar goes after John Cena

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful shared some updates of what happened at the end of SummerSlam. Lesnar took out some of his frustration on Cena and hit him with a few suplexes and an F5.

Cena did get up from these hits though as Sapp added that the Leader of the Cenation thanked the fans for their support.

WWE has a habit of doing something extra for the fans and this was decent fan service after an OK SummerSlam.

Lesnar returning to WWE is huge for the company and it will be interesting to see how his rivalry with Reigns goes.

Paul Heyman will also be in a tight spot, given that he was the former manager of Lesnar. Reigns vs Lesnar has the ingredients to be a great match and hopefully, WWE gets the build up to this right.
