Jamie Foxx is an American actor, comedian and singer known for his Academy Award-winning portrayal of Ray Charles in “Ray” (2004) and his role in “Collateral” (2004). He gained success from “In Living Color” and his own sitcom, “The Jamie Foxx Show.” Foxx has appeared in numerous films and received critical acclaim for his role in “Just Mercy” (2019). He also played the supervillain Electro in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014) and its sequel.

On December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas, Jamie was born. He had limited interaction with his biological parents because he was raised by his mother’s adoptive parents. Foxx was the choir director and part-time pianist at Terrell’s New Hope Baptist Church.
