Impa Kasanganay is one of the most impressive stars in the UFC and his MMA record is something special

The UFC has a bunch of talented youngsters coming through the ranks and Impa Kasanganay is one of them.

The 26-year-old might be just on fight old in his UFC career, but he has already caught the eye of Dana White.

Kasanganay is a no-nonsense fighter who doesn’t talk a lot of trash and just wants to fight. The 26-year-old is one of the few undefeated stars in the UFC and he is on quite a winning streak.

A decent start to MMA career

Kasanganay started off his amateur MMA career in brilliant fashion by picking up two wins in his first two fights.

The 26-year-old lost to Bryan Battle at Fight Lab 59 before picking up two more wins and finishing his amateur MMA career with a record of four wins and one loss.

No losses in Pro career

Kasanganay’s first pro MMA fight was for Showcase MMA and it was against Garret Fosdyck. Kasanganay won that fight via split decision in January 2019, and has been on a roll ever since.

The 26-year-old then defeated Dahlen Wilson on Island Fights 53 and got another win at Island Fights 54 over John Lewis.

The UFC star then defeated Roger Pratcher, Devorious Tubbs and Kailan Hill in quick succession to move to 6-0 in his MMA career.

Hill was defeated on the Contender Series but Kasanganay was called back for another crack at the UFC contract.

He proceeded to defeat Anthony Adams in August 2020 and got a call for his UFC debut a few weeks later.

Kasanganay took on Maki Pitolo in his UFC debut and won the fight via unanimous decision. The 26-year-old had an MMA record of 8-0 and his UFC record was 1-0.

However, the undefeated streak was broken by Joaquin Buckley. Kasanganay was knocked out with an impressive spinning kick and his record is 8-1 now.
