What is the MMA record of WWE superstar Shayna Baszler?

Shayna Baszler had a decent record during her time in MMA

WWE star Shayna Baszler might be one of the toughest women in the promotion now, but she had a decent record during her time on the MMA circuit too.

The American spent close to a decade in various MMA promotions and is adept at Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

She also is known to be great with cards and is called the “Queen of Spades” due to her magic tricks.

Baszler won a couple of titles during her MMA days, but she was never able to win a title in the UFC.

She started her career in the Reality Cage Fighting promotion and won two out of her first three fights.

Baszler made her MMA debut in 2003 and tried her hand in several promotions over the years.

The 39-year-old also fought in Costa Rica and Japan for other promotions and won her first title in MMA at the Freestyle Cage Fighting promotion.

This took place on 12 June 2010 as she defeated Adrienna Jenkins and became the Women’s Bantamweight Grand Prix Champion for FCF.

She then picked up The Cage Inc’s Women’s 140 pounds championship in her next fight. Baszler defeated Elaina Maxwell to win the title and her overall MMA record went to 14-6.

She lost two of our her next three fights before getting a chance in the UFC. Baszler, unfortunately, didn’t have a great UFC record.

She lost three fights in the promotion, however, she did win one of her two fights during the Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate show.

Baszler’s last MMA fight took place on 25 February 2017 and she ended with an overall record of 15 wins and 11 wins (not including the results from The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate).

Professional wrestling break

She asked to be released from her contract with the UFC and decided to pursue professional wrestling in 2015.

She spent a few years on the independent circuit and fought in several promotions such as World Wonder Ring Stardom, Shimmer Women Athletes and Absolute Intense Wrestling.

Baszler took the next step by joining NXT in 2017. She first appeared in the 2017 Mae Young Classic and was defeated in the final by Kairi Sane.

However, that was just the start for the American. She became a regular in the promotion over the next two years.

She became the NXT champion twice and also raided the SmackDown show. NXT won the women’s battle at Survivor Series over Raw and SmackDown. However, Baszler recently lost her title to Rhea Ripley.

That allowed her to make a move to Raw and she targetted Becky Lynch too. The pair are set to meet at WrestleMania 36 with Baszler hoping to win the Raw Women’s title.
