Julija Stoliarenko is all set to face Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC 276 – what is her nationality?
Former Invicta FC bantamweight champion, Julija Stoliarenko competes in the UFC women’s bantamweight division. A professional since 2012, she is a brown belt in jiu-jitsu and was born on April 8th, 1993.
Stoliarenko’s father was the one who introduced her to karate when she was 12, and she eventually progressed towards Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. She was born in Kuanas, Lithuania, and she is a Lithuanian mixed martial arts and Lethwei fighter.
She made her MMA debut on June 16, 2017, at Lethwei in Japan 4: Frontier in Tokyo, Japan and knocked out Burmese Lethwei fighter Su Hlaing Oo. On November 15, 2017, Stoliarenko faced top female Lethwei fighter in Veronika in Lethwei Grand Prix Japan 2017 in Tokyo and ultimately won the Japan Lethwei World Title. Later on October 2, 2019, Stoliarenko made her first ILFJ title defence at Lethwei in Japan 14 and defeated Japanese fighter Yugia by TKO in the first round.
She won the vacant Invicta FC bantamweight championship against Lisa Verzosa in March 2020. Following the victory she landed the prestigious UFC contract.
What is Julija Stoliarenko’s UFC record?
She made her UFC debut against Yana Kunitskaya in August 2020, and won the fight by unanimous decision. This loss took her MMA record to 9 wins, 4 losses, and 2 draws.
Julija later went on to fight Julia Avila in June 2021, but succumbed to her second loss under the UFC banner, this time via submission. Later in 2022, she fought Alexis Davis and lost the fight by decision.
Her overall UFC career hasn’t been the best so far. She has lost her first three fights in the UFC, and has a record of 3-0. She will be looking forward to put on a good performance against Jessica-Rose Clark on a super card like UFC 276.
