We take a look at the record of Ľudovit Klein who will make his fourth appearance inside the UFC octagon
Ľudovit Klein is a Slovakian mixed martial artist, who made his professional MMA debut in late 2014. Klein started training in boxing secretly at 12 fearing his parent’s acceptance. He later equipped himself in jiu-jitsu and Thai boxing, devoting himself to fighting completely.
He went undefeated on his first six Pro-MMA fights and won all the fights by submission. In his first fight outside Slovakia, he lost to Igor Tarytsa bt KO in Russia. He had a record of 16-2 before signing with the UFC.
Klein stepped in as a replacement for Nate Landwehr, to face Shane Young on 27th September 2020 at UFC 253. He won the fight by knockout in round 1. He has since then lost consecutive fights inside the octagon and will look to bounce back at UFC 272.
He also has the record of being the only Slovakian to hold a victory inside the UFC octagon.
Devonte Smith will face Ľudovít Klein at UFC 272 in a lightweight clash.
Smith had an amateur record of 7-2-1 before he made his Pro-MMA debut. He made an appearance on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series program and won his fight by first-round knockout.
Smith made his UFC debut on November 10, 2018, against Julian Erosa at UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs. Rodríguez.[8] He won the fight via knockout in round one. His current record inside the UFC stands at 3-2.
