Bron Breakker is one of the rising WWE stars on NXT but what is his real name and who trained him?
Born Breakker has been creating a name for himself on WWE NXT and is a former two-time NXT Champion.
He was named the Rookie of the Year in 2022 by Wrestler Observer Newsletter, and there seems to be something special about the 25-year-old.
However, Bron Breakker is not the real name of the American wrestler. Bron Breakker’s real name is Bronson Rechsteiner and there is some wrestling lineage that has to be brought up here.
Bronson is the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner. Most wrestling fans will know them as the Steiner Brothers, and Bron also has a physique similar to his seniors.
Breakker was born in Woodstock, Georgia and he played football for a few years at Etowah High School. Wrestling was where he excelled as he won the Georgia Class AAAAAA state championship in 2016.
He continued playing football during his time in Kennesaw State Owls and even tried in the NFL Scouting Combine in 2020, but things didn’t work out for him.
He did end up on the Baltimore Ravens team as an undrafted free agent, but the now WWE star was released in August 2020.
Bron Breakker, like any rising WWE star, had to go through the WWE Performance Center before making his breakthrough in the company.
While many indie stars come through other wrestling schools Breakker had no such help. He was practising and playing football before making his professional debut in October 2020 at WrestleJam 8, an event promoted by AWF/WOW.
He defeated Jamie Hall in that and then signed a contract with WWE in February 2021. This is where he was trained at the WWE Performance Center.
The Performance Center has several coaches who have wrestled previously in WWE and other promotions.
Breakker did share a photo with former WCW star Diamond Dallas Page on social media and claimed he worked with him, but there aren’t any proper reports confirming he trained with the legendary wrestler.
Some of the biggest names at the PC are Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom (Who was known as Albert/A-Train).
Michaels has been seen on TV during several storylines but Bloom is the head coach. The other big names to be part of the Performance Center are Serena Deeb and Scott 2 Hotty, who both have tons of experience from their time in the wrestling business.
