We take a look at Jared Vanderaa – his record and run it back to his UFC debut
Jared Vanderaa first appeared in Dana White’s Contender Series 34 when he fought Harry Hunsucker. He won the fight by TKO in the first round, and would eventually end up signing with the UFC.
His first fight under the UFC banner came against Sergey Spivak at UFC Fight Night. Unfortunately for him, he lost the fight via TKO in the second round. He clashed against Justin Tafa next in May 2021, which he won by unanimous decision.
Since then he has been on a two-fight losing streak inside the octagon, making his UFC record 3-1. It hasn’t been a pleasant coming for Vanderaa in the UFC, who will fight Aleksei Oleinik next.
Jared Vanderaa steps in to fight Alex Oleinik at UFC 273
Alex Oleinik finally has an opponent for UFC 273. Originally slated to fight Ilir Latifi, the heavyweight veteran was without an opponent till Jared Vanderaa stepped into fight Alex Oleinik.
Oleinik (59-16-1) seeks the 60th win of his pro MMA career, ever since a split decision win over former UFC champion Fabricio Werdum at UFC 249 way back in May 2020. He has lost his past three fights to Sergey Spivak, Chris Daukaus, and Derrick Lewis. The bout will take place on the main card of UFC 273 as both fighters confirmed the news of Twitter.
