Augusto Sakai made his UFC debut on 10th August 2018 at Dana White’s Contender Series– Brazil edition and his full promotional debut a month later at UFC Fight Night: Santos vs Anders.
He entered the competition with a record of 10 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw before facing Marcos Conrado. He won the fight by TKO and secured a UFC contract thanks to his performance.
Sakai then went on an impressive 4 fight win streak since then, slowly emerging into the UFC heavyweight picture.
The former Bellator fighter has been on a losing skid with TKO and KO losses against his last three opponents. Much has been made about his UFC career so far and Sakai will be looking forward to rope in a victory to stay relevant in the company.

Augusto Sakai needs a win desperately- There are no two ways about it. The fresh feared prospect who has wins over Andre Arlovski and Blagoy Ivanov is on a three-fight descent.
A career revamp is in the store for Sakai, who will be looking forward to booking a fight soon and revendicating his grip of the division.
