McGregor was also the UFC Featherweight champion before moving up to another division and is considered as one of the greatest ever to have graced the sport.

The Irishman has even tried his hand at boxing but lost a big-money fight to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The Irishman’s rivalry against Khabib Nurmagomedov was one of the biggest. However, McGregor lost that fight to the Russian at UFC and also the chance to claim the UFC Lightweight belt.

That fight also saw a huge brawl after McGregor submitted to Khabib. Both fighters were involved in a fracas with other members from their rivals’ teams.

They both were banned and suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after UFC 229. However, McGregor’s ban was rescinded after six months.

Conor McGregor’s last fight

The Irishman made his UFC return after more than a year at UFC 246. He went up against Donald Cerrone on 18 January 2020, and won in 40 seconds.

This was a great return for the Irishman in the Octagon, and there has been talk about a huge next fight in the coming months.
