Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to next fight on UFC 249 against another tough opponent
Russian UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to next fight on UFC 249 against another top class MMA star.
Khabib has an incredible 28-0 record in the UFC and last fought at UFC 242 against Dustin Poirier for the UFC Lightweight Championship.
The 31-year-old has beaten all of his challengers since making the move to UFC, and is possibly the best pound-for-pound fighter in the men’s division.
Khabib will always be remembered for his fight with Conor McGregor and how he attacked some of the Irishman’s teammates and coaches after his win.
The Russian does have a habit of swapping shirts after his fights and he sells them with the money going to charities.
UFC 249 is going to be big
Khabib is one of the biggest draws in UFC at the moment and he will face Tony Ferguson on 18 April 2020.
UFC 249 will be held in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York but no other fights have been confirmed for the card yet.
Khabib has won eight of his fights via submission and another eight by knockouts, and there is no one who has come close to him in recent years.
Ferguson will be a tough challenge for Nurmagomedov in his next fight. The American won the Ultimate Fighter 13 and was the interim UFC Lightweight champion once.
Ferguson has also won his last 12 fights and last lost on UFC in 2012 to Michael Johnson. It will be interesting to see how he does against Khabib as the Russian is next to unbeatable in the UFC at the moment.
