WWE Money in the Bank 2020 is going to feature some changes in the PPV
After WrestleMania 36, WWE has its next PPV planned with the 2020 Money in the Bank.
The event features the Money in the Bank gimmick with two big matches. The gimmick match sees a briefcase hoisted high above the ring with the participants climbing a ladder to retrieve it.
This is a huge match for the winner as the briefcase allows them to cash in the Money in the Bank contract for a title shot at any time.
Many champions have been crowned after cashing in the Money in the Bank contract but this PPV will be different from its previous versions.
The PPV is to be held on 10 May but the location of the show has changed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
WWE initially planned to host the event from Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena, however, that had to be cancelled.
Just like WrestleMania 36, the event could take place from the Performance Center but the two Money in the Bank matches will be held from the WWE HQ.
It is going to see the male and female wrestlers battle to reach the top of the HQ where the briefcase will be kept.
There is no news of where the other matches will take place, however, the Performance Center should be the right option for that.
Money in the Bank 2020 will start streaming from 7 ET/4 PT but the kickoff show starting an hour earlier from 6 ET/3 PT.
There have been five matches confirmed for the 10 May event but more will be added as and when WWE announce them.
The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches are the draw in this PPV. However, many of the belts will also be defended.
Daniel Bryan vs Aleister Black vs AJ Styles vs Rey Mysterio vs King Corbin vs
Otis and AJ Styles were the latest additions to the match. Styles replaced the injured Apollo Crews, after winning a Gauntlet match.
Asuka vs Shayna Baszler vs Nia Jax vs Dana Brooke vs Lacey Evans vs Carmella
Lacey Evans and Carmella were the final additions into the women’s Money in the Bank match.
New Day vs Forgotten Sons vs Miz & Morrison vs Lucha House Party
A Fatal-4-way match has been set up which sees the New Day defend their titles against three teams at the PPV.
Bayley vs Tamina
Bayley will defend her crown against Tamina after Sasha Banks lost to Tamina in a recent match.
Banks and Bayley have seen their friendship get affected since WrestleMania and it will be interesting to see if Bayley keeps the title.
Braun Strowman vs The Fiend
Strowman picked up the title from Goldberg at WrestleMania. However, he has a daunting task ahead of him in The Fiend Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt and Strowman have history since the Wyatt Family. And this could be one of the best matches of the PPV.
Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins
McIntyre finally completed his redemption by picking up the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar.
The new champion, however, has a tough foe in Seth Rollins and the Architect will try to do whatever he can to get the belt.
