It started in 2010 when a briefcase was up for grabs that contained a contract that guaranteed the winner a match for a world championship of their choosing within the following year.

WWE to consider date change for the Money in the Bank 2022

The company might be moving the date of the Money in the Bank 2022 event. WWE announced that the premium live event will take place on July 2 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

According to Fightful, WWE might change to July 3 instead since UFC announced their Internation Fight Week from June 27 to July 2 in Las Vegas itself. Additionally, the UFC 276 PPV event will take place on July 2 at T-Mobile Arena, raising logistics issues.

“I’m told there’s unlikely to be a conflict as WWE also has a hold on Allegiant Stadium for Sunday, July 3. With the Independence Day holiday on Monday, it looks like it will all be sorted by the time Money in the Bank tickets go on sale and there will be a pretty big weekend there”

Since this event from UFC is the biggest in the year, WWE’s viewership and ticket sales might take a hit. It has been reported that WWE also booked Allegiant Stadium for July 3, and there the event might get postponed to a day later.
