Where is Asuka? Find out why she has been absent from the WWE
WWE Superstar Asuka has been absent from the company ever since Money in the Bank PPV. Asuka made her last on screen appearance in July and has not been seen ever since. The fans have been left speculating the reason for her absence and there is nothing official as of yet.
It has been speculated that she has been absent from the company because WWE doesn’t have a storyline for her as of now. It was also reported that Asuka was present on a few Raw episodes backstage. However, it has not been made official by the WWE.
Moreover, Asuka was one of the biggest names in the WWE Women’s division so it is hard to believe that WWE don’t have any creative plans for her. Asuka became the Raw Women’s champion last year when Becky Lynch was vacating her title because of pregnancy. Since then, Asuka became one of the leading faces of the Women’s division in the WWE.
Asuka then went on to hold the title for 231 days only losing it out at WrestleMania. Her success in the company makes it unlikely that WWE don’t have a storyline for one of the division’s biggest stars.
Although there has been no official report of Asuka’s injury she was seen with her arm on sling. Ever since being absent from the WWE, The Empress has been very active on social media especially Twitter.
Back in September Asuka shared that she had finally got new teeth when she said:
“I finally got new teeth! It took 6 months since I lost my teeth. Thank you Dr. Byron M Blasco”
Asuka let her fans know that she finally got new teeth after her tooth was knocked out in a match against Shayna Baszler back in February. Asuka also seemed to have been wearing a sling on her left arm. There has been no official report by either WWE or by Asuka herself.
It was speculated that Asuka might return to WWE during the drafts but this did not happen as well. Asuka was nowhere to be seen during the WWE drafts. Moreover, she was not even picked by either Raw or Smackdown. Her absence from the drafts could possibly be because of a possible arm injury which can be seen in the picture she posted.
It’s been over 2 months since her last appearance and the fans can only hope to get an update soon. Whether Asuka is injured or WWE is working on a creative plan for her is yet to be known. Fans are eagerly waiting for the return of The Empress and would hope to see her back in action soon.
