Dana Marie Perino was raised in Denver, Colorado, after being born in Evanston, Wyoming, on May 9, 1972. After graduating from Colorado State University-Pueblo, she went to the University of Illinois Springfield for a master’s degree in public affairs reporting. Before taking a position as press secretary for Rep. Dan Schaefer, she served as a staff assistant for Congressman Scott McInnis.
