Published by

Jared Fogle was a former spokesperson for the Subway restaurant chain in the United States. He rose to fame in the early 2000s after losing a significant amount of weight by eating Subway sandwiches as part of his diet. Fogle’s story and weight loss success were featured in a national advertising campaign for the chain, which helped to increase Subway’s sales and brand recognition.

What happened to Jared Fogle?

In 2015, Fogle’s career came to a sudden end when he was arrested and later pled guilty to charges related to child pornography and engaging in sex acts with minors. He was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison and fined a significant amount of money. Following his conviction, Subway terminated its relationship with Fogle and removed all references to him from its advertising campaigns. The company also pledged to donate a significant amount of money to organizations that support victims of child sexual abuse.

Discovery is preparing to air a documentary called “Jared from Subway: Catching a Monster” that focuses on the former Subway spokesman, Jared Fogle. The three-part mini-series is set to premiere on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 9 pm ET, and can also be streamed on Discovery+ the same day. The documentary will explore Fogle’s criminal activities, particularly his pedophilic crimes, and will showcase how journalist and radio host Rochelle Herman-Walrond helped to uncover the truth. Recently, a trailer for the documentary was released, offering viewers a glimpse into the shocking details of Fogle’s case.
