Llarisa Abreu, a meteorologist who has been a member of the weather team at CBS 3 in Philadelphia, has recently gone missing from her regular broadcasts, causing concern among long-time viewers and listeners. With unpredictable weather patterns making it challenging to forecast temperatures accurately, morning news presenters have become a crucial part of our daily routines.
Llarisa Abreu began her weekday morning meteorologist role in Philadelphia in February 2020. Her social media pages indicate that she is originally from New Jersey but moved to the area for the position. On February 7, 2023, almost exactly two years since joining CBS 3, Llarisa took to Instagram to announce that she would be departing the station to start “the next chapter” of her career.
In her Instagram post, Llarisa expressed her gratitude towards Philadelphia and said, “I got to witness how this city supports its sports teams. Everyone hated Ben Simmons during the Phillies at the World Series and NOW the Eagles at the Super Bowl!! This city embraced me, honed my forecasting skills, toughened me up as a Jersey girl, took me under its wing, and supported me through it all.”
Llarisa also revealed that her last day at CBS 3 would be on February 17, 2023. While she couldn’t disclose any details about her future plans, she assured her followers that she would be announcing them soon. Although fans of Llarisa may be disappointed that she has left CBS 3, they can look forward to her next move. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and congratulate her on her success in Philadelphia!
