The Winter Olympics are finally here and here are all the details of the date, time, venue, streaming options and USA TV schedule
The Winter Olympics are one of the biggest sporting events in the world. This year’s competition has 91 nations participating in 109 events taking place across 15 disciplines.
While this is not as big as the Summer Olympics, this still is a chance for some athletes to etch their names in history.
The 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing, China. This is the second Olympic Games the city will have held after being host to the 2008 Summer Olympics. Beijing also became the first city to host both the games.
There are a few events taking place in Yanqing and Chongli, but the majority of the show will take place in Beijing.
The opening ceremony will take place on 4 February 2022 and the competition will end on 20 February.
However, some of the tournaments and events actually start off from 2 February. These would be the curling, freestyle skiing and ice hockey competitions. It is to be noted that the competition will go on even after the 2nd and 3rd of February since these are the initial rounds for these events.
The events are spread throughout the day with most of them starting at 6:30 AM (ET) and going on well into the night.
The time difference between China and the US does make it difficult to follow all the sports. However, the daily Olympic schedule provides a great opportunity to check out the listing and what times the sports are held.
Some of the events also start at 3:30 AM (ET), which is a tough time to wake up to and follow the sport.
The Winter Olympics will be held in three zones with Beijing hosting most of the competitions. The capital of China will host the opening and closing ceremony and award shows at the Beijing National Stadium.
The Beijing National Aquatics Center, Beijing National Indoor Stadium, National Speed Skating Oval, Capital Indoor Stadium, Wukesong Sports Centre and Big Air Shougang will hold all the events. There is also the Winter Olympic Village which will house the athletes.
The Yanqing zone has the National Alpine Ski Centre, National Sliding Centre and the Olympic Village. While the Chongli district has the Snow Ruyi, National Biathlon Centre, Genting Snow Part, National Cross-Country Centre and the Zhangjiakou Olympic Village and Medals Plaza.
A total of 224 athletes will represent the USA in the 2022 Winter Olympics. 116 men and 108 women will be part of the show and the US will hope to win the competition outright.

The timing on the Olympic website is based on the local region. However, that can be changed basis your location.

The 2022 Winter Olympics will be shown on NBC. NBC is the home of the Olympics for the USA and CNBC, USA and the Olympic Channel will all show some of the events.
