Scheduled for November 15, 2009, as the 19th and final Grand Prix of that season, it was a significant milestone as Formula One’s inaugural day-night race, starting at 5:00 PM local time. Hamilton, in turn, holds a 32-point advantage over Carlos Sainz Jr. and shares the same points as Fernando Alonso, placing fourth. Red Bull Racing dominates the Constructors’ Championship with 822 points, standing 430 points ahead of Mercedes and an additional four points ahead of Ferrari. McLaren secures the fourth spot, trailing Ferrari by 104 points and leading Aston Martin by 11 points in fifth place.

Red Bull and Mercedes are jointly the most successful teams at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – both having six titles to their name. With their powerful engines and aero efficiency, Mercedes have clinched multiple victories here. Led by legendary drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, Mercedes secured consecutive wins from 2014 to 2019, showcasing their supremacy on the Yas Marina Circuit. However, they have failed to win a race here since 2019.
