The voice of Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, 85 years old is almost as recognizable as his on-screen persona. In both Bruce Almighty and its sequel, Evan Almighty, he played God, and in The Dark Knight, he played Lucius Fox.
Near his Mississippi home in 2008, Freeman was in a near-fatal vehicle accident that left him with permanent bodily disability. The Nissan Maxima reportedly turned over many times, and rescue workers had to use the jaws of life to extract him and his passenger.
Morgan Freeman’s iconic baritone voice is as memorable as his Oscar-winning performance despite enduring agonizing agony during a near-fatal automobile accident.
Mr. Morgan Freeman has fibromyalgia, a condition that causes continuous, varying degrees of discomfort throughout the body. Various parts of the body, including the limbs, head, chest, belly, back, and buttocks, may experience discomfort.
Fibromyalgia patients often have trouble sleeping, feel numb, have frequent headaches, and struggle with fatigue. Fibromyalgia may be controlled with a mix of exercise, various movement treatments, psychiatric and behavioral therapy, and medicine, but there is yet no cure.
Due to his sickness, Freeman has had to give up several of his favorite pastimes, including flying his plane and taking long boat voyages by himself. Red, Oblivion, Now You See Me, and The Hitman’s Wife and Bodyguard are just a few of the films he has participated in despite his condition.
Morgan Freeman said, “There is a point to changes like these. I have to move on to other things, to other conceptions of myself. I play golf. I still work. And I can be pretty happy just walking the land.” Freeman added, “I play one-handed. I swing with my right arm.”
We can hope for his speedy recovery and wish him all the best for the future.
