Chelsea Chandler became a hit on social media after the MMA fighter ran away during a UFC clash
UFC Vegas 77 had several incredible moments to talk about. There were some brilliant finishes, twerking, awful injuries and a star in the making as Mayra Bueno Silva defeated Holly Holm.
The win set Silva up for a possible Women’s Bantamweight title shot, but another incident had many people talking.
The incident occurred in the first round as Norma Dumont faced off against Chelsea Chandler. After Dumont laid out a hard punch, Chandler decided to run away from her opponent. However, this was way different to what anyone might have expected.
Chandler literally sprinted toward the cage while Dumont was chasing her. This did save Chandler a bit as Dumont seemed set to finish the fight in the first round itself.
Daniel Cormier, who was on commentary, could not hold his laughter, while others joked that Chandler would have been out of there if there was a door in the Octagon.
Dumont followed her opponent and laid out several punches more. However, that was not enough for Dumont to finish her opponent.

There was a backstage incident between the pair too after the weigh-ins. Chandler and Dumont exchanged some words before the fight.
Chandler even showed her opponent the middle finger, something that Dumont did not take to kindly.
However, Dumont had the last laugh as she did get the unanimous decision victory over her rival.
Dumont went on to tell Chandler, and other fighters, not to do such things with other Brazilian fighters or else they would pay.
The win took Dumont to 10 wins in her MMA career. The Brazilian does have a couple of losses, and it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
Chandler, for her part, is 5-2 in her MMA career. This was her first loss in the UFC after defeating Julija Stoliarenko in her promotional debut.
