Who are the UFC stars that have been tested the most by USADA?

UFC stars need to be tested by USADA to check out if they have been using illegal drugs or pills and some of the biggest names in the promotion have been tested multiple times

USADA has a tough job on their hands trying to keep sports drug free in the. MMA falls under the purview of the body and several UFC athletes have to be tested to keep the sport clean.

Many fighters have shared stories of how USADA is a pain to work with, even sometimes testing fighters an hour or so before a clash.

However, big names have been caught in the past using drugs and that has led to severe sanctions. Fights get overturned and titles are also stripped if a star is found using drugs not prescribed by USADA.

Recently, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN shared a list of the UFC stars that have sent the most samples to the USADA for testing.

The reporter claimed that this was off the USADA database and the name on the top of the list shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The best get tested the most

Jon Jones is a legend in the MMA business despite his troubles out of the Octagon. Bones has been stripped of titles in the past for drug use, and his name ranks #1 when it comes to getting tested.

The former Light Heavyweight Champion has been tested an incredible 62 times, so far. Jose Aldo, another former champion in a different division of the UFC comes second with 60 samples being called.

Yoel Romero and Daniel Cormier are two of the old horses in the UFC and the pair come third and fourth with 58 and 57 samples.

Cormier is a former two-division UFC champion but retired from the sport recently. A couple of women then come into the list with former UFC champion Holly Holm having 55 samples tested.

Current double champion, Amanda Nunes, is sixth with 54 tests and then we get back to the men.

Rafael dos Anjos comes in seventh with 53 while TJ Dillashaw has had 52 tests. Donald Cerrone and Paulo Costa make up the top 10 with 51 and 50 tests, respectively.

Cris Cyborg isn’t with the UFC any more but she also had 50 tests. The other big names who miss out on the top 10 are Stipe Miocic, the current Heavyweight champion, with 49 tests.

Anderson Silva also has had 49 tests to date while former two-division champion, Conor McGregor, has had 48.

Robbie Lawler and Dustin Poirier are tied with Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov on 47 samples each.

The others on the list are Stephen Thompson, Edson Barboza, Tyron Woodley and Junior Dos Santos.

The last names on the list are at 44 tests with Sean O’Malley, Frankie Edgar and Fabricio Werdum featuring.
