Survivor Series is just around the corner and this year’s special has some extra spice added to it.
NXT have invaded Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks with the Undisputed Era doing a lot of damage on the Red brand.
Adam Cole defended his NXT championship by cleanly beating Daniel Bryan on SmackDown, while his match against Seth Rollins ended in a DQ.
The women have also done their bit in recent weeks with a triple threat match featuring Bayley, Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch at Survivor Series.
More interruptions were expected on the recent edition of SmackDown with the show being taped in Manchester.
Heavy Machinery had come out to wrestler in Manchester but were laid out by the Imperium from NXT UK.
The stable came out and destroyed Otis and Tucker before a few SmackDown stars came out to save Heavy Machinery.
The faction weren’t in a lot of action during recent tapings of NXT UK but they certainly made a huge mark on SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series.
Who are WWE Imperium?
WWE Imperium is a faction featuring four European wrestlers that perform mostly on NXT UK.
The four members consist of German pair Alexander Wolfe and Marcel Barthel, Austrian star Walter and Italian wrestler Fabian Aichner.
The Imperium were formed recently with the quartet featuring non-British wrestlers on NXT UK.
Barthel and Aichner being dubbed were dubbed as the ‘European Union’. However, that changed when they joined the Imperium.
This was before the pair teamed up with the other wrestlers and formed the stable Imperium.
The quartet seem to be doing pretty well at NXT UK with Walter the current WWE United Kingdom champion.
All four wrestlers have a lot of independent circuit experience, and it will be interesting to see how the Imperium WWE journey continues.
What next for Imperium?
Imperium certainly created a buzz on SmackDown and it was fitting that they got to showcase their abilities in Europe.
The quartet have only recently started working together but they looked slicked as they beat up Heavy Machinery.
Walter won the UK title by defeating Pete Dunne, and should be involved in defending that title sooner rather than later.
They are also involved in a faction battle on NXT UK and that could be interesting to see.
There still are a few more weeks to go before Survivor Series, and there will be more attacks between brands.
The OC invaded NXT, and all eyes will be on Raw and who could come to invade them on Monday.
