Pedro Saude is the husband of UFC star Taila Barbosa
Taila Santos is a Brazilian MMA fighter competing in the UFC. The 30-year-old is coming off the biggest fight of her career when she battled Valentina Shevchenko for the Women’s Flyweight title.
That fight took place in June 2022 but it didn’t go Santos’ way. The Brazilian lost the fight via a split decision and hasn’t been in action yet.
There have been some issues in Santos getting a fight this year too as she was to fight Erin Blanchfield on 18 February.,
However, her husband, Pedro Barbosa, and her cornermen were denied visas to the United States several times, and hence she was replaced by Jessica Andrade. Blanchfield defeated Andrade and now faces Santos in this week’s UFC event in Singapore.
The winner of this fight could get a title shot in the future with Shevchenko looking to reclaim her crown as she faces champion Alexa Grasso later in the year.
Who is the husband of Taila Santos?
There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding the name of Taila Santos’ husband. Some outlets name her husband and coach Pedro Barbosa while others have used the name Pedro Saude.
Reports add that Saude works also as a fitness instructor and model. However, he is also the coach of the UFC star.
The pair have been together for more than 7 years and have posted a lot of photos on their Instagram accounts.
Furthermore, they also have a daughter named Gloria, and Taila has shared a lot of photos of her daughter on social media as well.
The good news is that it seems that the family is together for the event in Singapore. They fight on the main card of the Korean Zombie vs. Max Holloway event.
Unfortunately, this isn’t even a co-main event fight, despite so much riding on it. Taila Santos would be looking to get back to winning and hopefully, even get another title shot after Saturday.
