Ailin Perez got an important win over Ashlee Evans-Smith but her celebrations caught the attention of everyone
Ailin Perez is making the news after her win at UFC Vegas 77. The Argentine MMA fighter took on Ashlee Evans-Smith on the prelim card of UFC Vegas 77 and picked up a win.
The 28-year-old had earlier lost her UFC debut to Stephanie Egger a few months back but picked up an important win.
While the win was great for her UFC career, it was her actions after the fight that got a lot of people talking.
The Argentine was waiting for the official results and once she was named as the winner started to dance.
Well, dance isn’t the right term for it, the 28-year-old started to twerk. This caught the referee off guard who didn’t know what to do and even Daniel Cormier seemed a little out of place seeing the celebrations.
Even UFC translator, Fabiano Buskei, seemed to be fumbling after seeing the twerking take place. However, this isn’t something new for Perez. She did twerk before her first UFC fighter and also confirmed that she was a dancer and knows a lot of styles.
The Argentine, however, dominated her opponent and picked up the impressive win. Evans-Smith really had no answer to her rival, and it is to be seen what is next for the 28-year-old.
What is Ailin Perez’s MMA record?
The 28-year-old started off her MMA career in 2018 against Noemi Galerza. She won her first five professional MMA bouts before picking up a loss to Tamires Vidal.
Perez then got wins over Romina Aguirre and Stephanie Bragayrac. However, her UFC debut didn’t go as planned with a loss against Egger.
The 28-year-old came back in wonderful fashion against Evans-Smith and her professional MMA record now stands at 8 wins and 2 losses.
Perez’s UFC career is now 1-1, and she will be looking to pick up a few more wins as her career progresses.
