In this article, we will discuss more about the Italian professional tennis player Jannik Sinner, who is the youngest to win five titles since Novak Djokovic in 2007.

Sinner is only 20 years old and is ranked 12 in the world. He is 6’2″ and plays right-handed. He is coached by Simone Vagnozzi. The promising youngster has won 95 matches and lost 46 with an impressive win percentage of 67.38.

As far as doubles competition is concerned, he is currently ranked 124 and won 16 matches and lost 13 with a win percentage of 55.17. Sinner achieved a career-high ATP ranking of 9 in singles competition on 1 November 2021.

He has won 5 titles in singles competition and 1 in doubles competition. He became the first teenage ATP 500 champion by winning the 2021 Citi Open. As far as his notable Grand Slam results are concerned he had reached the quarter-finals of the 2020 French Open and the 2022 Australian Open.

Sinner has one of the best two-handed backhand shots among the current generation.

He won his first title at the senior level in 2020 at Sofia Open. Next year was even better for him as he bagged four more titles – European Open, Sofia Open for the second time, Washington Open, and the Melbourne 1.

In the Dubai Tennis Championships, Sinner lost in straight sets to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals. In the Indian Wells Open, he gave a walkover before his quarterfinal clash against Nick Kyrgios citing an illness.

Jannik Sinner retired from the Miami Open quarterfinals clash against Argentine Francisco Cerundolo owing to foot blisters. He is currently participating in the Monte-Carlo Masters where he will take on Borna Coric in the Round of 64.
