Trevor Lee Caddell is an American wrestler, who goes by Cameron Grimes in the ring. He is currently performing on the NXT brand of WWE and is touted as a rising star.
Grimes kick-started his wrestling career in Impact Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG).
Among his accolades are, three Impact X Division Championships, a TNA World Tag Team Champion with Brian Myers and a PWG Tag Team Champion with Andrew Everett.
At one point in his career, he was even under the tutelage of Jeff and Matt Hardy. Cameron Grimes also dabbled in various independent promotions, like Global Force Wrestling, OMEGA Championship Wrestling and PWG.
Grimes made his TNA debut in 2015, teaming up with Brian Myers and Team GFW. Sadly, it got off to a horrible start as they lost to The Wolves.
The good news was that in a later episode, Grimes and Myers got their revenge, winning the TNA World Tag Team Championship in the process.
Unfortunately, the following week, they lost the title back to The Wolves. In a rematch for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, they were unsuccessful.
Following a brief hiatus in 2016, Grimes defeated Tigre Uno to win the TNA X Division Championship under new manager Gregory Shane Helms. He even successfully defended his title against Uno in two rematches.
Then, in April, Grimes, Helms and Andrew Everett formed The Helms Dynasty. At that year’s Slammiversary, he lost his title to Eddie Edwards in a four-way who including Everett and DJZ.
A year later, Cameron Grimes defeated DJZ to win the TNA X Division Championship for the second time. The following week, Lee and Helms unceremoniously booted out Everett from The Helms Dynasty.
In July, he attacked newly crowned X Division Champion Sonjay Dutt and stole the X Division Championship. The “new X Division Champion” then ‘defended’ the title against handpicked local competitors.
However, Dutt rightfully won it back, following some help from Petey Williams. Fellow wrestler Caleb Konley allied with Lee along with former Helms Dynasty teammate Andrew Everett to face Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams and Matt Sydal, sadly they lost.
In November 2017, Lee lost the X Division Championship to Taiji Ishimori. Then in December 2018, his contract with Impact Wrestling expired.
To write him off television they did an angle where Killer Kross punched a concrete block through his face.
Soon, he would leave TNA to join rival promotion, WWE, in the NXT brand.
The 26-year-old has been impressive in NXT this year and has already been part of a couple of quality matches.
Grimes is a no-nonsense performer and lets his wrestling do the talking.
The former X Division champion is one to watch, and he sure does know how to put on a show.
