American sensation Sofia Kenin has raised a few eyebrows with her eye-catching displays and has amassed a decent net worth too.
The American overcame World No.1 and local girl, Ashleigh Barty, in the semi-final of the 2020 Australian Open and had more to celebrate a few days later in Australia.
She also won the WTA Most Improved Player of the Year award in 2019. Sofia Kenin started playing tennis at a young age and was a prodigy.
Sofia’s parents, Alex and Svetlana Kenin, moved from the Soviet Union to America and saw her child excel in tennis.

Best ranking: 4th
W/L record: 200/115
After turning professional in 2017, Kenin has so far won 4 singles and 2 doubles titles on the WTA Tour.
Her singles titles from last year include Hobart International, Mallorca Open and Guangzhou International Women’s Open.
Meanwhile, her doubles victories have come in Auckland Open alongside Eugenie Bouchard and China Open with Bethanie Mattek-Sands respectively.
She broke her Grand Slam duck by winning the 2020 Australian Open by defeating Garbine Muguruza.
Kenin also reached the 2020 French Open final. However, she was defeated by rising star Iga Swiatek.
Kenin could never have been such a successful player if not for good support from her family and it was her father Alexander Kenin who was her first coach.
Her parents, Alex and Svetlana Kenin, after recognizing their child’s talent sent arranged for her to train with Rick Macci in Broward County, Florida.
She has also worked in the past with American tennis coach Nicholas James Bollettieri, who is known for coaching many Grand Slam winners including Williams sisters, Serena and Venus and Maria Sharapova.
Bollettieri has coached ten #1 players in the world and was one of the first to congratulate Kenin on her Australian Open win.
Kenin still has a long way to go before she could be one of the top earners in her profession.
As of October 2020, she has earned $6,245,694 from her appearances across various competitions, and that should be a decent sign of her net worth. Her other incomes come from endorsements.
Kenin is busy building her tennis career and is entirely focused and determined to become one of the top professionals.
She is not dating anyone currently and there have been no known sources of her being previously with anyone. The youngster has mostly kept her private life away from the limelight.
