Galan began his professional tennis career in 2014, playing in ITF Futures tournaments and gradually moving up the rankings. He made his ATP Tour main draw debut in 2017 at the Colombian Open, where he received a wild card entry. In 2020, Galán achieved his breakthrough on the ATP Tour. He reached his first ATP Tour final at the Cordoba Open in Argentina, where he lost to Cristian Garin. This performance helped him climb to a career-high singles ranking of No. 153 in the world in February 2020. He is currently ranked World No.85 in ATP men’s singles.
