The UFC Middleweight division is stacked with some quality performers but who is the tallest one?

The UFC has some of the biggest names in the business duking it out for the top titles. We have seen the likes of Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Khabib Nurmagomedov star in recent years.

However, there are several names doing the business now and continuing the legacy of the promotion.

Kamaru Usman is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and is undefeated in the UFC. Alexander Volkanovski is another top name, who put on a show at UFC 276 defending his UFC Featherweight title.

However, another name stood out on the show, Alex Pereira. The Brazilian was in action at UFC 276 against Sean Strickland and knocked out his rival in the first round.

This was a huge win for Pereira as he is the only one to have two wins over Adesanya, but those came in the kickboxing world.

Pereira also seems to have another record, he is the tallest UFC Middleweight star. He stands at 6 ft 4 in, which is 193 cm. Pereira was three inches taller than Strickland, but surprisingly Adesanya also is the same height as the Brazilian.

However, many outlets have claimed that Pereira is taller than Adesanya and is the tallest Middleweight star.

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira next?

Adesanya was the main event of UFC 276 as he took on Jared Cannonier. The Stylebender didn’t wow the audience but he did get the win.

Adesanya has just one loss in his MMA career and that came against Jan Blachowicz. However, that was for the UFC Light Heavyweight title.

Adesanya knew who he wants to face next and called our Pereira soon after his win. It will be interesting to see if the UFC does that. The Kiwi has dominated all his rivals atop the Middleweight division.

Pereira, for his part, is 6-1 in his MMA career but came into his fight against Strickland unranked. The win over the American should push Pereira up the rankings, but will he be the next one to take on the champion? Only time will tell.
