Muresan had a relatively short NBA career and played in the NBA from 1993 to 2000. During these seven years in the NBA, Muresan played for the Washington Bullets (now Wizards) and New Jersey Nets.
52-year-old Muresan hailed from Romania and won NBA Most Improved Player (1996) award and is also 2× NBA Field Goal Percentage Leader (1996, 1997).
Furthermore, Muresan averaged 14.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while he was playing for the Washington Bullets (now Wizards).
But Muresan was not that lucky to have a stellar NBA career. A major back injury forced Muresan to retire from the NBA. So, Muresan played only six NBA seasons and a total of 307 NBA games.
Manute Bol is one of the most famous NBA players who is often talked about because of his gigantic height. Bol measured a massive 7 feet 7 inches, the same as Gheorghe Muresan.
Bol was drafted in the 1985 NBA Draft as the 31st overall draft pick by the Washington Bullets (now Wizards). Further, Bol played in the NBA from 1985 to 1997.
During his NBA career, Bol played for the Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat.
Hailing from Sudan, Bol made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team (1986) and was 2× NBA blocks leader (1986, 1989). Notably, Bol is particularly remembered because of his excellent shot-blocking ability and because of his ability to shoot threes.
In his 12 NBA seasons, Bol played 624 NBA games and averaged 2.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game.
