This article will explore Tucker Carlson’s personal life and check out what happened to him, which shocked everyone.

Tucker Carlson – Early Life

Tucker Carlson, an American political commentator and television host, was born as Tucker McNear Carlson in San Francisco, California, on May 16, 1969. His mother was a native of San Francisco named Lisa McNear, and his father, Dick Carlson, was a former “gonzo reporter” who later became the director of Voice of America, president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the U.S. ambassador to Seychelles. Dick Carlson is currently a director at the lobbying firm Policy Impact Strategic Communications.

Tucker Carlson’s younger brother, Buckley Swanson Peck Carlson, is a Republican political operative and communications manager. The Carlson family history is complex, with Tucker Carlson’s paternal grandparents being Richard Boynton and Dorothy Anderson, who placed his father at The Home for Little Wanderers orphanage when they were teenagers. Carlson’s father was later adopted by an upper-middle-class New England family, the Carlsons.

Carlson attended La Jolla Country Day School in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego, California, after his father moved the family there when Carlson was in first grade. He grew up in a home overlooking the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club and attended St. George’s School, a boarding school in Middletown, Rhode Island, for his secondary education. It was there that he met and began dating Susan Andrews, the headmaster’s daughter and his future wife.

After graduating from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, with a BA in history in 1991, Carlson attempted to join the Central Intelligence Agency but was denied. He then pursued a career in journalism, following his father’s advice.

Why Tucker Carlson is fired?

On April 24, 2023, Fox News dismissed conservative journalist and host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Tucker Carlson. The choice was made in response to several contentious remarks made by Carlson on his programme, which sparked a strong backlash and censure.

In one very divisive episode, Carlson questioned the necessity of a US military facility in Syria and implied that American service soldiers stationed there were not advancing national security. Military veterans, congressmen, and other public figures all harshly condemned Carlson for his comments, which launched a social media movement to get him fired from Fox News.

Nevertheless, this particular incident did not alone lead to Carlson’s termination. The New York Times said that the decision was driven by a number of circumstances, citing unnamed officials inside Fox News. These included pressure from sponsors who reportedly expressed reluctance to link their brands to Carlson’s divisive remarks, conflicts between Carlson and Fox News management throughout the course of his programme, and more general worries about the network’s reputation and image.

The Times also noted that Carlson’s departure was part of a broader trend of changes at Fox News, as the network seeks to adapt to shifting viewer preferences and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. These changes have included the departure of other high-profile hosts and the introduction of new programming aimed at appealing to younger and more diverse audiences.

The firing of Tucker Carlson has generated significant attention and discussion within the media industry and beyond. Some have praised Fox News for taking a stand against inflammatory and divisive rhetoric, while others have criticized the decision as an attack on free speech and a capitulation to political correctness.

Tucker Carlson’s personal life

Tucker Carlson’s personal life has been characterized by his marriage to Susan Thomson Carlson, whom he met while studying at St. George’s School. The couple exchanged vows in the school chapel in 1991 and have since been blessed with four children. Interestingly, Carlson is a southpaw and also struggles with dyslexia.

Although he was baptized as an Episcopalian, Carlson was non-religious in his upbringing. It wasn’t until he met his wife that he became interested in faith. However, Carlson has expressed his opposition to the Episcopal Church’s support for same-sex marriage and abortion rights, which he vehemently disagrees with. Nevertheless, Carlson still attends the church for its liturgy and people. In 2002, Carlson gave up alcohol and quit smoking cigarettes a few years earlier, turning to nicotine gum and pouches to cope with the addiction.
