Who will Sean O’Malley fight next after UFC 292? Suga takes shot at rival after knockout win over Aljamain Sterling

Sean O’Malley is the new UFC Bantamweight Champion after knocking out Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 but who will he fight next?

The UFC has a new champion in the Bantamweight division as Sean O’Malley knocked out Aljamain Sterling tonight.

Sterling came into this fight with some big wins over Petr Yan and Henry Cejudo. The reigning Bantamweight Champion was expected to put on a wrestling clinic, but the first round felt like a feeler one.

Both stars landed a few kicks but nothing substantial took place. However, the second round was where the Suga Show emerged.

O’Malley avoided a punch from Sterling and landed one of his own. The champ went down and O’Malley went in for the kill. This was his first title fight in the UFC and Suga picked up the biggest win of his career.

While he was celebrating the win, he did speak about who he could fight next, potentially.

Sean O’Malley takes a shot at Marlon Chito Vera

O’Malley has a huge rivalry with fellow Bantamweight star Marlon Chito Vera. Vera is the only person to have defeated O’Malley, but that also came up after Suga injured his foot in the fight.

Suga has been looking for a rematch for a long time and finally called out his rival, not before taking a few shots at him.

Joe Rogan was conducting the post-fight interviews and after speaking about the win, O’Malley asked about his rival.

“Did Chito win?

He added that he wanted to face Chito in December in Vegas.

Vera’s career has been up and down since the win over O’Malley. He lost his next fight to UFC legend Jose Aldo before picking up four wins while defeating stars such as Dominick Cruz and Frankie Edgar.

Chito then lost to Cory Sandhagen before defeating Pedro Munhoz at UFC 292.
