Reports suggest that Roman Reigns will not perform at WrestleMania 36 against Goldberg due to the coronavirus pandemic

WWE has called off all its live shows due to the coronavirus pandemic with WrestleMania 36 set to be recorded from the Performance Center.

Not only that, a lot of shows are being taped beforehand with some live shows being affected too.

This might not be the best solution to the problem but safety has to be the main priority for WWE.

That seems to be a problem for Roman Reigns as Ryan Satin claimed that the Big Dog wants to sit out his clash at WrestleMania 36 against Goldberg.

That was for the Universal title, however, Reigns is a former cancer patient and is at risk of contracting the coronavirus.

Although WWE has ensured that all their wrestlers and staff remain safe, it is important for Reigns to stay safe too.

The WWE star has battled leukaemia in the past and Roman Reigns needs to be kept safe from the coronavirus.

This WrestleMania has been already hit hard by venue changes and the lack of fans, however, not having Reigns battle against Goldberg will be a big blow.

This was one of the main events of the two-day WrestleMania and WWE has to make some big decisions now.

What happens to Goldberg at WrestleMania 36?

This was set to be the big match at WrestleMania 36 and would have seen two similar stars go head-to-head.

In all probability, it would have been Reigns picking up the title and getting a push past the show. However, if the Big Dog does pull out, that leaves WWE in a pickle.

They have already booked some of their top stars in big matches already. John Cena faces Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan could have a Mania match for the Intercontinental title but that does leave a couple of stars as possible replacements.

Braun Strowman hasn’t done much since losing the IC title to Sami Zayn. The Monster Amongst Men has never picked up the top title, and it will be interesting to see if he is pushed.

Sheamus is another interesting star. The Irishman has been out of action for a while, but he recently returned to SmackDown and has attacked Shorty G in the past.

Either of those two would be good opponents for Goldberg. There are other options such as The Miz but most of the top stars are already tied up with other storylines.

The health of the wrestlers has to be the most important thing right now. Reigns is someone that needs additional care, and you cannot blame him for taking such a decision.

Goldberg needs a rival at WrestleMania 36, and hopefully, WWE gets the right option in the coming days.
