Why Bournemouth signing Keinan Davis would be a good move
According to the Daily Mail, Bournemouth are keen on bringing in Keinan Davis on loan from Aston Villa. The Cherries want to push for promotion this season and Davis could be seen as a viable option in case either of Joshua King and Dominic Solanke leaves the club. Swansea are the other club interested in Davis.
Davis needs to leave Aston Villa
Aston Villa went ahead and broke the club record transfer fee to sign Ollie Watkins for £28m from Brentford. He has repaid that with a blistering start to the season scoring 6 times already in the league. This has led to Davis playing a backup role and featuring sporadically.
Wesley, who has been out for close to a year now with injury, is slowly nearing fitness. That would spell even more bad news for Davis. Watkins has very likely cemented his place as the club’s first-choice striker and there’s a very good chance that Wesley will be his backup.
It would seem that the only option for Davis at that point would be to leave the club even if it’s on a temporary basis. At just 22 years of age, he is in his formative and developmental years as a forward. He needs a regular flow of games, something he is unlikely to get at Villa once Wesley is fully fit.
Bournemouth could replace King or Solanke with Davis
The Cherries got relegated at the end of last season. They were one of the better teams to watch during their stay in the top flight under Eddie Howe. Now as they prepare for a promotion push on their first try, they need all the help they can get.
However, their star forward Joshua King is said to be a target for Premier League sides such as Newcastle. That would leave them a bit short in the forward areas as Dominic Solanke isn’t the most prolific of options upfront.

Adding a young and hungry forward like Keinan Davis would be of huge help, even if it is on a temporary basis. The youngster is warming the benches at Villa and has become a squad player. Bournemouth can use this situation to their advantage and try to prise him away from the Villans.
