Celtic have shown a keen interest in acquiring Melbourne City winger Daniel Arzani on loan. The attacker is set to sign for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and subsequently join the Scottish Champions on loan, as per BBC.

The Celtic warriors have looked impressive and confident under former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. They successfully clinched their seventh straight title last year, handing Rodgers his second consecutive one. The manager must make a couple more signings before the window transfer window shuts at the end of the month. Iran-born Arzani has been plying his trade with Melbourne City since 2016. He made 20 appearances for the Australian outfit last season, out of which 16 of were starts. He played a major role in their third-place finish in the A-League.

The BBC reports that the player arrived in England last week to finalize his move to Manchester City but an official announcement is yet to be made. Manchester City are the Australian outfit’s parent club which makes things a lot easier for the two teams.
