After six months, he was loaned out to Queen’s Park FC on a short-term deal. He went on to play 7 games and assist twice. On his return, he moved to Hibernian. Doig made his debut for Hibs in August last year against Kilmarnock.
So far, he has made 20 appearances for Hibs and assisted two goals. Doig is a part of the Scotland U-18’s side but is yet to play a game for them.
Doig can be one for the future at Chelsea
Given Chelsea spent a staggering amount in the summer window, bringing in a bevvy of players, it really doesn’t look like Tuchel needs more signings. The likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell all arrived for big money. That has left new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel with an oversized squad at this point.
Nonetheless, Chelsea have a tendency to find the best possible young talents across the world and sign them. Josh Doig falls under the same category. The Scot came to the fore this season with his exploits in defence for Hibs. Despite his young age, he has shown immense ability with his contributions from the left side of defence.

That would make Doig a signing for the future in case Chelsea go ahead for him. With so many clubs interested, Chelsea would be wise to leap ahead for the youngster.
