Crystal Palace interested in Ismaila Sarr – Do they need him?
Crystal Palace have been long-term admirers of Ismaila Sarr and the Sun reports that the club would pursue the player if Wilfried Zaha leaves the club this summer. They are lining up a £40m move.
The Senegalese speedster had a good season despite Watford’s relegation and the Senegalese will want to stay in the Premier League. Sarr joined French outfit Metz in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer and impressed. He then moved to Stade Rennes where he scored 18 and assisted 16 in 77 games for the club.
Last season, the Senegalese ace moved to England to play for the Hornets and in his debut season, he has caught everyone’s eyes. Despite a poor season by Watford, Sarr put up a good fight and did well.
The 22-year-old has shown he is an exceptional dribbler and that he has the ability to score with both feet.
Do Crystal Place need him?
There is no doubting that Ismaila Sarr would be a quality acquisition for the Eagles. Sarr would be a viable option for the club and has all potential to cause damage to the opposition’s defence. He can add depth to the Eagles wing.
He is still in his young age and with opportunities would be able to achieve his full potential. If Wilfried Zaha leaves, Sarr would be a good replacement. Even otherwise, he would add good depth to the squad and bring some competition.
Sarr would be a fantastic addition to the Eagles’ lineup and is highly rated across Europe. The youngster will surely bolster their attack given the obvious quality he has shown this season.
Final words
Sarr possesses electric pace and is a quality young player. Irrespective of Zaha’s future at Selhurst Park, Palace should sign Ismaila Sarr. He is young, has shown promise and looks like he can develop into a good player.
