Jimmy Havoc, Bea Priestley and Sadie Gibbs were released by AEW for varying reasons
AEW released three stars from their roster with Jimmy Havoc, Bea Priestley and Sadie Gibbs all being cut.
The trio are from the UK and haven’t been seen on AEW shows for a while, possibly due to flight restrictions.
Gibbs posted on her social media accounts that she was released by AEW and thanked Tony Khan and the promotion for giving her a chance.
My journey it’s been one hell of a ride, I never expect it to get easier I just expect my core values and perception to evolve and for me always to find #GRACE within moving forwards. #UNDEFINABLE
Thankyou so much @TonyKhan @AEWrestling for giving me a chance of a life time 🙏🏼

However, she didn’t confirm why she was being released by the promotion. While the Wrestling Observer posted about the news, they couldn’t confirm why the trio were being released.
Cagesideseats added that Priestley had been having issues trying to get into the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Gibbs, for her part, wasn’t seen on AEW for a long time and only featured in a handful of matches.
However, the story with Havoc could be a lot more than getting into the country.
#SpeakingOut movement catches Havoc
Havoc was one of the stars accused during the #SpeakingOut movement which engulfed the UK wrestling scene.
While some American stars were also accused of sexual misconduct during the movement, action was taken against them with many being released by their respective organisations.
WWE released several stars and officials during this period while AEW had their own problems. Sammy Guevara was also caught up in this after some old comments of his aired regarding Sasha Banks.
Guevara was suspended by AEW and he spoke with Banks regarding the comments, but he has returned to the promotion recently.
AEW also knew about the allegations against Havoc and wished him the best as he underwent mental health treatment and also for substance abuse.
The promotion added that they would relook his position in the company at a later date, and he has now been released by the organisation.
