WWE star Andrade Cien Almas was suspended due to a violation of their wellness policy

United States champion and star wrestler Andrade Cien Almas has been suspended by the WWE for 30 days due to a violation of their wellness policy.

A release from the company confirmed that the star was suspended as part of the wellness policy since this was his first transgression.

The US champion was in action at the Royal Rumble where he defended his title. However, he was attacked by Humberto Carrillo on the last Raw episode to effectively write him off for a month.

The Sun adds that there was no confirmation of what substance Andrade used or was found guilty of using, however, the WWE star is not the first to fall foul of their wellness policy.

Robert Roode of SmackDown was the star prior to Andrade who was written off for a month. The former TNA star did return to the ring recently and was involved in a battle against Roman Reigns.

WWE has been extremely strict with its wellness policy in recent years and several stars have been suspended due to infractions.

What happens to the US title as Andrade is suspended?

That is the big question that needs to be answered. Not having a title defence for 30 days isn’t new in WWE as Brock Lesnar and some other stars have come regularly but haven’t defended their title.
