Becky Lynch vacated the WWE Raw Women’s Championship on Monday night
When Becky Lynch walked out with the Money in the Bank to open Monday night’s edition of WWE Raw, very few fans would’ve anticipated what would happen next.
Lynch was the Raw Women’s Champion since WrestleMania 35 when she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple-threat match.
Lynch, over the weekend, had broken the record for most days as the WWE Raw Women’s Champion. So, when she walked out with the Money in the Bank briefcase instead of her title, something seemed off.
Asuka, who had won the Money in the Bank Ladder match joined in moments later, not pleased with The Man holding her briefcase.
Becky Lynch announces she is pregnant
Lynch would then go on to make a huge announcement, revealing that she was pregnant and will now be vacating the title as a result.
The Man further revealed that the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday was actually for her title, instead of the usual contract for a title opportunity. Therefore, Asuka became the new WWE Raw Women’s Champion.
"You go and be a warrior, 'cause I'm gonna go be a mother."

In an emotional moment, Lynch told The Empress of Tomorrow:
“You have been the best wrestler in the world for a long time. And this is why I’m so glad that this is happening to you. You go and be a warrior, because I’m going to go be a mother.”
Having handed over the title to Asuka, Lynch walked off the stage with a smile on her face and a hint of tears in her eyes.
Congratulations poured in for The Man over the good news, with current and former WWE superstars wishing her the best for the next chapter in her life.
Lynch hadn’t been involved in any match since defending her title against Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36 last month.
Speaking about a potential return to WWE in the future, The Man told People Magazine:
“I don’t know what the next chapter is. Because I only know what it’s like to think for myself when I’m by myself. So I don’t know what it’ll look like and how my priorities shift and what I’m going to want in the future. So, everything’s open.”
This announcement also seemed to take a toll on the would-be father, Seth Rollins. Rollins and Lynch have been engaged for a while. However, the Messiah seemed to be in a different mood as he was catatonic throughout Raw after his loss at Money in the Bank.
