Why Arsenal should sign PSG star Julian Draxler
According to France Football via ZRAFC (h/t Football.london), Arsenal are set to rekindle their efforts to sign Julian Draxler. The 27-year-old German is in the final year of his contract. It is being said that he is not in the plans of new manager Mauricio Pochettino, which could facilitate a cheaper deal.
Arsenal still need an established creative midfielder
Three wins on the trot might have somewhat eased the issues at the club and rightly so. The new set-up under Arteta is flourishing and the club looks to back to normal. Emile Smith Rowe has done well in the meantime, flourishing as a playmaker.
However, as good as they might be playing now, they can’t ignore the fact that they still need an established No.10. Mesut Ozil is very likely on his way out, leaving the club without an established and senior creative player.
Arsenal should look at Julian Draxler as a cut-price option
For all the creative midfielders linked to the club, not very many are feasible for the club. Nonetheless, Draxler does not fall into that category. The PSG man has been a peripheral player ever since his arrival due to the huge stock of star names in attack for PSG.
The German is still a genuinely talented playmaker who is just going through a bit of a dull patch. However, he has seen limited game time at Parc des Princes this term, and Arsenal should take advantage of his situation in France.
He could provide them with the much-needed depth in the squad, whilst adding creativity to the Gunners attack as a replacement for his former German teammate Ozil. He has already made over 400 career appearances and his experience would definitely be a huge boost to the squad. He could be the leader in midfield in the future.

With a lack of experienced creative players in midfield, Arteta should bring in Draxler, who is also capable of operating from the wings. He would be a valuable addition to the squad if he is able to replicate the same form he has shown in the past. Thus, the Gunners should reignite their interest in the former Schalke man.
