Why Leeds United should make a move for Adil Aouchiche
According to 90min (h/t Yorkshire Evening Post), Leeds United are interested in signing French wonderkid Adil Aouchiche in the summer.
Aouchiche, 17, is one of the most exciting young French talents and has already made his Paris Saint-Germain bow earlier in the campaign. He joined PSG’s youth side in 2014 and since then, he has been on the rise.
The teenager has also played in several youth sides for France and scored 16 goals in 25 games for France’s U17 team. His impressive performances have earned him rave reviews and could be on the move to English football with Leeds United interested in securing his services, as per the report.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men have been excellent throughout the campaign despite a slight dip in form in the last few months. They have returned to the top of the table and are ahead in the race for automatic qualification to the Premier League.
The Whites have been brilliant in every department and their defensive unit has been top-notch, conceding just 30 goals so far, which is the best defensive record in the Championship. Their attack, led by Patrick Bamford, has scored 56 goals so far and are second in terms of goal count.
However, the manager should start thinking about the next season regardless of their league status. And one area which Bielsa should focus on strengthening is the attacking midfield department. Pablo Hernandez is the only player available in their creative department.
The Spaniard has enjoyed a wonderful season so far, racking up 6 goals and 6 assists but he is already 35 and is reaching the twilight of his career. Thus, with the summer transfer window set to open soon, Bielsa should inject the squad with young blood for the future.
In that case, PSG starlet Aouchiche would be a good option for the club as he is young and could be the answer for their creativity in the long run. And the whites should manage to lure the youngster to Elland Road this summer.
Aouchiche has shown his abilities at various levels and is one of the most exciting upcoming talents in Europe. He would be a valuable addition to the squad if he is able to continue with the fine form and could also play second-fiddle to Hernandez next season.

With Hernandez ageing, Leeds must look to add depth to their squad and Aouchiche would definitely provide them with that. He may not be an experienced player but he can grow under the guidance of Bielsa and represent the Whites in the future.
