Why Mohamed Salah can fire Liverpool to a Premier League title next season

Mohamed Salah has just signed a new long-term deal at Liverpool. The 26-year-old Egyptian, who joined the Reds from Roma last season, has made an unreal impact at Anfield. The new deal extends until 2023 without any exit price, a fact that should delight the Liverpool supporters.

The Reds have done some good business by signing Fabinho from AS Monaco and Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. In addition to that, they have also captured Roberto Firmino’s services on a long-term basis.

With a strong squad in place, Liverpool must fight to win the Premier League title next season. Having spent two full seasons with the club, Klopp must prioritize winning trophies in the near future. And in their quest to do so, Salah will undoubtedly play a crucial role.

Why Salah could help Liverpool win the Premier League

Mohamed Salah had a fairytale debut season at Anfield with 44 goals in 52 appearances. He won the Golden Boot with a record haul of 32 goals in a 38-game Premier League season. The Egyptian is predominantly a right-winger, but under Klopp, he generally plays as an inside forward. The pace, directness and ruthless nature he possesses is something every club will worry about.

The 26-year-old is in his peak years and given the circumstances, Liverpool might just win the 2018/19 season. Klopp usually plays a 4-3-3 formation with a narrow front-line.

Firmino plays a false nine who does a tremendous amount of work on and off the ball. The Brazilian creates space for the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane to feed on. The Egyptian has profited from that to a great extent.
