Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley provided a glimpse of what is in store for NXT in the coming years

WWE WrestleMania 36 was a sleeper hit as many didn’t expect the show to be great. The lack of fans was one reason to be wary about the show, while the event was also held in the Performance Center.

However, all the participants blew the roof off the stadium while WWE creative scored highly thanks to some endings. Of course, the Firefly Fun House and Boneyard matches got a lot of attention, but the women put on a great show too.

Bayley and Becky Lynch kept their titles in a couple of interesting clashes while there was a change in ownership for NXT.

Rhea Ripley came into WrestleMania as the champion but she lost her crown to Charlotte Flair.

The Queen targeted Ripley’s leg and got her rival to submit after a fierce encounter. Ripley tried her valiant best, however, she was unable to get the better of the Queen.

This is a huge result for NXT as it confirmed that Charlotte would be on this brand now, and that is a sign of great things to come for the brand.

Time to dominate women’s wrestling

The Four Horsewomen from NXT laid the foundation for the current batch of female wrestlers in the organisation.

Yes, Paige, the Bella Twins, Natalya and a few others also deserve credit, but Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte and Lynch helped take women’s wrestling to the top.

All four of them, including Paige, also starred on NXT and the current roster for the Black and Gold brand is bursting with talent.

Charlotte to lead another revolution

Charlotte might be the biggest name in terms of experience and accomplishments, and it was a little shocking when she challenged Ripley after winning the Royal Rumble.

Now, after becoming the champion, she seems to be the perfect woman to deal with the stacked roster. She has the mic skills, is great in the ring and has real championship pedigree too. She can play the heel extremely well and all the women now have something to aim for.

Moving the Queen to NXT also ensures that she is able to part with her experience regularly.

NXT has been the top WWE brand for a while now and with Charlotte ready to do her bit on the show, the Black and Gold brand will dominate women’s wrestling for a long time.
