Pokimane is one of the biggest streamers in the world but her with no make up on seems to be a big talking point and is still trending across the world
E-Sports has picked up a lot in recent years and that has also given birth to streamers across the world.
Games such as Rocket League, Fortnite, FIFA, PES, Call of Duty and many others provide players with a ton of choices on what to stream.
Many streamers make millions from the comfort of their own homes while some are international celebrities thanks to their streams.
One such star is Canadian-Moroccan star Pokimane. The 24-year-old is known for streaming games such as League of Legends, Fortnite, Valorant, Minecraft and Among Us.
Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, also has over five million subscribers on YouTube and her popularity is still growing.
However, as is the case with social media, female content creators and streamers are subject to some rather vile comments.
It all started with Pokimane deciding on not wearing any make up on a stream. This caught out many as she didn’t look exactly like how she did in most of her streams.
That was enough for some to hit out at the streamer but Poki wasn’t having any of that.
No make up Pokimane slams abusive trolls over comments
Pokimane was lauded for her courage to do a live stream with no make up, but some called her out.
This saw the popular streamer hit out in a series of tweets with many other streamers also coming to her support:
She also went on to say that she would be against those who body shamed people without make up. The 24-year-old went on to say that people spamming her old photos would not stop her from changing too:
This was a brave move by the streamer but her popularity has not taken a dip at all. Pokimane also addressed some of these trolls on her own personal account which isn’t verified:
While this took place almost three months back, the terms ‘Pokimane no make up’ still trends regularly. That seems to be something that internet users want to keep searching and this is one major reason why the term continues to occupy the top trend spots in E-sports.
The other reason is due to her popularity. Many internet users are keen to see what streamers look Au Natural, and Pokimane is still one of the biggest names to search out there.
